1. Introduction
This resource provides a guide for teachers on preparing and using video for FETAC assessment. FETAC levels 1, 2 & 3 now require video evidence of learners' skills and competencies and this resource is aimed at assisting you to produce this.
This learning session is designed to help you to solve any problems that you are having with digital video. It is a collaborative exercise, so work with your colleagues to try to improve your understanding and knowledge of any area of digital video production that you are finding difficult.
Completing the resource
- As a whole group brainstorm for 5 minutes on your current knowledge of video production.
- Identify gaps in your knowledge - what else do you need to find out about? - 10 min
- Facilitator will break you into groups depending on what you would like to learn in this session.
- Select the page related to your knowledge gaps. Use the resources provided here to find out about the subject, or use the internet to search for other resources, and try it out on the video cameras provided. 60 min.
- Finish by making a contribution to the Wiki provided for sharing resources with other teachers. This can be built into a useful resource in which you can share things that worked for you and those that didn't. 20 min.
